As a not-for-profit membership organisation, incorporated by association, Queensland Writers Centre has a voluntary Management Committee elected by the membership. The Committee is our governing body, providing strategic direction and overseeing our resources to make sure we deliver the best possible service to our members, partners and our community.
Queensland Writers Centre operates under the terms of our Constitution and Rules, and meets obligations as a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission.
Annual General Meeting
Queensland Writers Centre’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) gives our members and Management Committee an opportunity to review the state of the organisation. The proceedings include the Management Committee elections.

Attendance at the AGM is open only to current financial members or those whose memberships are no more than one month in arrears.

Voting
Voting for positions on the Management Committee is now open until the AGM. Please read the nominee profiles before casting your vote using one of the following methods:
Online Voting
Online Voting closes 14 April 2026 at 5:00pm AEST (Brisbane time). Vote via the Online Voting form.
In-Meeting Voting
Available using the General Ballot form or Online Voting form, during the AGM, for attendees who have not yet voted.
Postal Voting
Complete the Postal Voting form and send to:
Queensland Writers Centre, PO Box 3488, South Brisbane, QLD 4101.
Postal votes must be received by 14 April 2026 at 5:00pm AEST.
Proxy Voting
Complete the Proxy Voting form and return to QWC in conjunction with the General Ballot or Postal Voting form.
Proxies will be verified separately prior to the AGM.
