Memoir is one of the most fascinating genres for readers and writers alike. We all have a story to tell, but how do we translate that story into an exciting narrative? This Queensland Writers Centre workshop with Edwina Shaw examines the fundamentals of memoir writing, giving you exercises and knowledge to evoke the places, people, and events of your memory in a compelling fashion.
Edwina Shaw is a Brisbane writer of fiction, memoir and screenplays. She has been writing and publishing since 2002. Her novel, Thrill Seekers, has recently been released as a new imprint by Raven Books UK. She teaches creative writing at UQ and runs workshops and retreats combining both writing and yoga.
