Writing Junior Fiction
A crash-course in writing junior fiction for writers of all levels, with award-winning Brisbane author Dave Lowe.
This informal, interactive session will focus on: hooking the reader; developing interesting characters; voice; dialogue; humour; and, perhaps most importantly of all, pacing. We’ll focus on common pitfalls and how to avoid them, and we’ll also take a look at the editing process, and how to polish your manuscript so it’s as good as it can possibly be. Finally, we’ll look at how to approach agents and publishers.
