Introduction to Small Press Publishing with Terri-ann White


Insights into small press publication for emerging and aspiring writers.

Getting published in an era when many people have stopped reading sounds like a dire prospect. We are at peak writer demand at the same time as we can clearly see a drop-off of readers and therefore publishing resources. It is small and independent publishers who are faring the worst in this moment we are in. I'll discuss some of the options in this thrilling adventure.

  • Confidence in setting a realistic path to publication.

Format

This is an online workshop with a focus on industry knowledge; it will be hosted via Zoom. This workshop is suitable for writers of all levels and writing backgrounds.

Terri-ann White has been a bookseller, writer, festival curator; writing teacher and supervisor in Australian universities, and book publisher. Her passion is books and writing with a particular interest in courageous writing that plays with language and subverts literary form and genre. Terri-ann founded Upswell Publishing in mid-2021 in Perth.
