How To Haiku with Dannika Patterson (10-16)

  • Holland Park Library 81 Seville Road Holland Park, QLD, 4121 Australia (map)

Join author Dannika Patterson for an adventure into the art of haiku poetry.

Using Dannika's book SeaSpray17: Ocean Photography & Haiku Poetry as a point of reference, you'll be inspired to create your own haiku in this highly interactive workshop.

Using a mix of photographs, sensory prompts and collected stimuli from nature, you'll tune into your senses to practise the art of haiku: capturing a moment in time in poetic form.

Format

This is a free workshop for young writers aged 10-16 held as part of Brisbane Children’s Writers Festival 2023, in partnership with Brisbane City Council. Bookings are required.
