Celebrate 2026 with us!

Queensland Writers Centre invites you to attend our annual member end-of-year celebration. It's a time to relax and reflect on the accomplishments and milestones of 2026, and look forward to the possibilities of next year.

The evening will include addresses from QWC management, special guest readings and the presentation of the 2026 Queensland Poetry Awards and Johnno Award.

Format

This is a members-only event, held in-person at The Edge Auditorium, State Library of Queensland. Light catering will be provided. A complimentary drink at the bar is included with your booking.

Arrive 5:30pm for a 6:00pm start.

Fellowship & Access Fund

Our end of year celebrations raise money for the Queensland Writers Centre Fellowship & Access Fund, which supports writers from diverse backgrounds and financially disadvantaged situations to access programs and services.

Donate any amount to the Fund with your booking or in our raffle on the night for entries to our special prize draw. Prizes will be announced on the night.
