Standing in front of a room full of young people and talking about your book isn’t necessarily enough to capture their attention. Instead, give them a reason to care by creating an experience they’ll remember long after you’ve left.
Join Carla Salmon, a Highly Accomplished Lead Teacher (HALT) at Brisbane Grammar School and Young Adult author, as she shares evidence-based teaching strategies to help authors shift their planning from what students will see and hear to what they will do, think and create.

Format
This is an in-person workshop with a focus on author sustainability; it will be held at State Library of Queensland. This workshop is suitable for emerging and established writers of all genres and backgrounds.
About Carla
Carla Salmon is a teacher and marketing professional who loves telling stories. Her debut young adult novel We Saw What You Started was shortlisted for the CBCA Book of the Year for Older Readers and the Sisters in Crime Davitt Award for Young Adult fiction.
