Queensland Writers Centre hereby provides formal notice and encourages its members to participate in this year's Annual General Meeting and attend to the formal business of the Organisation. The AGM is an important event for every organisation as it gives you, our members and Management Committee an opportunity to review the state of the organisation.

Where: Queensland Writers Centre, Level 2, State Library of Queensland, Stanley Place, South Brisbane - and via video link

Management Committee Elections

Voting for positions on the Management Committee is now open. Please read the profiles of each of the nominees before casting your vote; note that the positions of Chair and Treasurer are uncontested in 2024. Four methods for voting are available - download the ballot forms here.
In-meeting vote
In-meeting voting during the course of the AGM will be available for both in-person and remote attendees who have not yet voted.
Postal vote
To cast your vote by post, complete the postal voting form, and send it to:

PO Box 3488, South Brisbane, QLD 4101.
Postal votes must be received by 29 April at 5:00pm AEST.
Online vote
To cast your vote online, please complete the online voting form. Online voting through this portal closes 29 April at 5:00pm AEST (Brisbane time).
Proxy vote
To vote via proxy, complete the proxy vote form and return to Queensland Writers Centre. Proxies will be verified separately prior to the AGM.
Please note that voting is open only to current members joined prior to 1 March 2024 or those with memberships no more than one month in arrears at the date of the Annual General Meeting.
