2023 Shortlist announcement - 29 August 2023

We are delighted to announce the 10 shortlisted writers for the Publishable 2023 manuscript development program. Congratulations to everyone on the shortlist. 

Each writer will now embark on a personalised program designed to prepare them for the opportunity to pitch to agents and/or publishers. Now one step closer to publication, we wish all our shortlisted writers the best as they continue in the program.

2023 LONGLIST ANNOUNCEMENT

The manuscripts are on the table! We are delighted to publish the longlist for Publishable 2023.

These 25 writers with manuscripts across a diverse range of genres now enter the manuscript development phase of the program, including consultation with Queensland Writers Centre staff, plus industry and craft workshops with Kate Cuthbert (Pantera Press) and author Debra Adelaide to develop their writing - and their pitch.
