Writing Life with Mary-Rose MacColl

  • Queensland Writers Centre Level 2, State Library of Queensland, Stanley Pl South Brisbane Australia (map)

Writing Life

DISCOVER writing AS a way of exploring YOUR experience of the world, ESPECIALLY THE NATURAL WORLD.

Over six weekday evenings, participants will consider various writing forms (reflective essay, poetry, journal, letters etc.) and have opportunities to try them as well as to develop their own writing practice. By the end of the course, participants will be settled into a writing practice and writing forms or registers that work for them.

This course will be most useful to people who love words and want to use them as tools for understanding themselves and the world they find themselves in.

Mary-Rose will tailor the program to participant needs as much as possible. In broad terms, the course will include learning resources on the topics below. Participants will have opportunities to share their words in a supportive environment.
