Looking for quiet time and space where you can write uninterrupted? Join a supportive group of committed writers for two full days of fast-paced writing, and transport yourself into your next writing project!

Bookings will open Monday 28 August. Please note that this event is members-only, and bookings are for the full weekend (Saturday 25 November - Sunday 26 November); priority bookings will be reserved for writers who can attend both days.

 

Fellowship & Access Fund

Our biannual Weekend Writing Challenges raise money for the Queensland Writers Centre Fellowship & Access Fund, which supports writers from diverse backgrounds and financially disadvantaged situations to access programs and services.

Donate any amount to the Fellowship & Access Fund with your booking or on the day - or break one of our word count goals - for entries to our special prizedraw. Prizes include:

 

Format

This is a free/pay-what-you-can weekend writing event for members only; it will be held in-person at Queensland Writers Centre at State Library of Queensland. Please note that this is a self-guided session, and not a workshop. It is suitable for all writers.
