Please note that this event is members-only, and bookings are for the full weekend (Saturday 31 October - Sunday 1 November); priority bookings will be reserved for writers who can attend both days.

  

Fellowship & Access Fund

Our biannual Weekend Writing Challenges raise money for the Queensland Writers Centre Fellowship & Access Fund, which supports writers from diverse backgrounds and financially disadvantaged situations to access programs and services.

Donate any amount to the Fellowship & Access Fund with your booking or on the day - or break one of our word count goals - for entries to our special prizedraw.

Format

This is a free/pay-what-you-can weekend writing event for members of Queensland Writers Centre only; it will be held in-person at Queensland Writers Centre, on Level 2 of the State Library of Queensland. Please note that this is a self-guided session, and not a workshop. It is suitable for all writers, and takes place over two days:

  • Saturday 31 October (10:00am-4:00pm)

  • Sunday 1 November (10:00am-4:00pm)
