Please note that this event is members-only, and bookings are for the full weekend (Saturday 1 June - Sunday 2 June); priority bookings will be reserved for writers who can attend both days.

Fellowship & Access Fund

Our biannual Weekend Writing Challenges raise money for the Queensland Writers Centre Fellowship & Access Fund, which supports writers from diverse backgrounds and financially disadvantaged situations to access programs and services.

Donate any amount to the Fellowship & Access Fund with your booking or on the day - or break one of our word count goals - for entries to our special prizedraw. Prizes include:

  • A Writer's Consult

  • Workshop passes

  • Book packs

  • Queensland Writers Centre and GenreCon merchandise

Format

This is a free/pay-what-you-can weekend writing event for members of Queensland Writers Centre only; it will be held in-person at Queensland Writers Centre, State Library of Queensland. Please note that this is a self-guided session, and not a workshop. It is suitable for all writers.
