Putting pen to paper for heightened focus, peace of mind and emotional regulation.
Journaling has a wide range of benefits for mental health and wellbeing, including stress reduction, emotional regulation, self-awareness, personal growth, improved cognitive function and physical health benefits.
In this workshop, Caylie will use some interesting techniques in letter-writing and mind-mapping to help you to tap into those thoughts and feelings that sometimes struggle to show themselves, and then resolve themselves. This will help you to refocus and gain a sense of inner-peace - through writing!

Participants will learn about:
a variety of different types of journals
an array of journaling methods, designed to unpack thoughts, ideas and feelings
the art of letter-writing for self-reflection

This is a hybrid workshop with a focus on writing craft; it will be held in-person at State Library of Queensland and live streamed to an online audience via Zoom. This workshop is suitable for writers of all levels and backgrounds.
