Thoughts on the process of examining a raw idea to explore its story potential.
We all have ideas – sometimes they come from life experiences; sometimes they come unbidden seemingly from nowhere. But does the idea have potential to grow from a tiny notion to a full-blown story? What does it have? What does it lack? And what can you do about it?
Learning outcomes
As part of this workshop, participants will learn:
Why a sense of value should be placed on every new idea.
Some key story lenses through which to interrogate a new idea.
Concepts for addressing the "something is missing" feeling about an idea.
The importance of moving an idea from head to hand (i.e. from out of the mind and onto a page).
