Keen to turn your hand to creative writing but need a little guidance and inspiration?
Whether you're a beginner or simply would like a refresher course in creative writing, this informative, and hands-on writing workshop will re-ignite your inspiration to write. We'll cover topics including how to plan your book, how to find story ideas, where to start the story, characterisation, story arc, tapping ideas for plot, structure, dialogue, and how to end your story.
If you write fiction, non-fiction, biography or journal, you will come away with the knowledge, skills and confidence required to kick-start your creative work.

In this workshop:

Understand the difference between voice and dialogue
Get ideas for how to finish a long-ago started writing project or improve it

Mix with other writing lovers to learn from each other and add to your self-motivation
Format
This is a hybrid workshop with a focus on craft; it will be held in-person at State Library of Queensland and live streamed simultaneously to an online audience via Zoom. As a Level 1 workshop, it is suitable for all writers.
About Vicki
Vicki is an author, artist, an accomplished writer and experienced teacher of writing. She has written 34 books and written and co-produced a documentary, Never Forget Australia. Her writing career began with personal development books and has expanded to children’s books, young adult and adult fiction. Books include: I’ve Found the Keys Now Where’s the Car? The Little Stowaway, Oliver’s First Big Spy Adventure, The Book of Hope, and The Promise.
