Finding Your Voice
Explore what makes up voice in writing, and practice strategies to develop your unique writer's voice.
Voice can be one of the most compelling and powerful aspects of writing, but it’s also complicated, and can be difficult to define and develop. In this workshop we will explore the role of voice in fiction. What makes up voice? What’s the relationship between character and voice? How can you find your own voice? Participants will be guided through group discussions, textual analysis, and writing exercises that will support them in finding and continuing to develop their own writer’s voice.

Format
This is a live stream workshop with a focus on craft; it will be live streamed solely to an online audience. It is a level 1 course for writers of all levels.
About Marija
Marija Peričić is a writer based in Melbourne. She is the winner of the Vogel Literary Award and was named a Sydney Morning Herald Best Young Australian Novelist. Marija has a background in teaching language and writing, and is currently completing a Creative Writing PhD at The University of Melbourne.
